Emergency Medical Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:A person who is specially trained and certified to administer basic emergency services to victims of trauma or acute illness before and during transportation to a hospital or other healthcare facilities.
Salary:The average salary in 2012 was $31,020 per year, and $14.91 an hour.
Education:Approved training programs at the appropriate EMT level ; some programs lead to certificates or associate’s degrees
