Optometrist  

Duties and responsibilities: Optometrist typically do the following: Perform  vision tests and analyze results. Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases, such as glaucoma. Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications. 

Salary: The median annual pay was $116,561 as of March 31, 2017. 

Education: Completion of Bachelor's degree and 4 year optometry program 

Demand: It is estimated that optometrist will increase by 27% from 2014 to 2024( this is greater than average)
