What this quote means is that you need to know that doing good will bring you benefits. When you do bad , it doesn't matter if in the real world , at the field, or at home, when you do something bad you will lose privileges.In the real world when you something bad you are sent to jail, in the field you coach will take you out and maybe not call you for next game.When you do good you will gain more trust and more freedom
